The Station, INDIGO 106.6fm
INDIGO 106.6fm is the operational arm of the Voice Community Trust, a “not for profit” company set up to meet the requirements of the Ofcom Community Radio Order (2004).
The management board has overall responsibility for the management of INDIGO 106.6fm, ensuring that it achieves the social gain objectives and company targets.
All of our policies, programming and operations are based on our social gain objectives, as originally laid out by broadcasting authority Ofcom under the Community Radio Licence Act.
The Social Objectives…
Ofcom Community Radio Order (2004) - Social Gain Objectives.
The provision of sound broadcasting services to individuals who are otherwise underserved.
The facilitation of discussion and the expression of opinion.
The provision (whether by means of programmes included in the service or otherwise) of education or training to individuals not employed by the person providing the service.
The better understanding of the particular community and the strengthening of the links within it.
