Radio Drama Classes for Adults@QES
An exciting opportunity for creating, writing and performing a radio drama. Tuesday Evenings at Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale. Over the course of seven weeks you will work with local actress, Becky Hindley. Christmas Carol Concert
The Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band plays its annual Carol Concert at St Mary's Church on Saturday 18th December at 4.00pm Entry is free. All are welcome

Jazz - The Geoff Eales Trio at Queen Elizabeth School
Jazz Pianist and Composer Geoff Eales makes a welcome return to The Harlequin Theatre, Queen Elizabeth School along with Chris Laurence on Bass and Martin France on Drums. Kirkby Lonsdale Bonfire & Firework Display
At the rugby club with bonfire at 7.30pm and fireworks at 7.45pm. Fun fair and bar available on the night to. It's all for the benefit of local charities including Kirkby Lonsdale Brownies and Guides, the Play Partnership, local First Responders and the NW Air Ambulance. Admission £3 adults, £1 children.

LUNE VALLEY ILLUMINATIONS RALLY RETURNS...
Preparations are well underway for this month’s Lune Valley Illuminations Rally. It takes place on the weekend of 24th and 25th with participants taking on 160 miles of lanes across the Lune Valley region of Lancashire and Cumbria. The course starts and ends at Lune Rugby Club in Lancaster. The event is a qualifying round of four major road rally championships including the Kirkby Lonsdale MC. Organisers are still looking for entrants and also for volunteers to help marshal the course. Anyone who can help should contact Cath Simpson on 01524 791779.

Litfest09 - Lancaster's Literature Festival
If you love reading you'll love litfest! Over ten days we've got dozens of great books. From debut novelists to Booker-shortlisted authors, short story writers to poets, from the Americas to Britain to Africa, from everyday life to rock 'n' roll excess, from high art to high camp, we've got a range of writing to satisfy anyone with a love of good books. All events on our website at www.litfest.org Includes music and comedy from The Ian McMillan Orchestra, fact and fiction inspired by the post-punk band The Fall, spooky goings-on at the seaside with writer Paul Magrs, and a chance to hear the book of the film - The Raw Shark Texts - before the film is even made! YFRIDAY supported by NOEL RICHARDS
Well known Christian band YFRIDAY, supported by Noel Richards, bring their Great and Glorious Tour to the Coronation Hall, Ulverston on Friday October 9th at 7.30pm in an event promoted by Kirkby Lonsdale Methodist Church. Tickets are available from the Coronation Hall Box Office on 01229 587140

INGLETON FOLK WEEKEND IN FULL SWING!
Folk music lovers from across the Lakes, Dales and Lune Valley are heading to Ingleton for the villages’ Folk Weekend. Folk music will be celebrated and presented in a variety of ways at different venues on Saturday and Sunday and will be made up of live sessions, workshops, street entertainment, concerts and a special Folk Songs of Praise. Highlights of the event are expected to be a comic song competition – with cash prizes up for grabs, and a concert by the legendary Scottish folk trio, The McCalmans on Saturday evening – the only part of the weekend that is ticketed. KLRUFC Mini youth & Colts
It is the start of the rugby season this saturday, mini & youth meet 10.30 Sunday, Colts have a game 12.30. Come through to Underley Park where you will get a warm reception! All ages coached from 7 -17 NB Andrew is with dan in Thailand - Dan is my stepson. Regards, john
