Hutton Roof Country Fair and Fell Race.
Traditional village fete and popular senior and junior fell race, famous for the fantastic home made cakes. Bouncy castle, face painting, kids races, local craft demonstrations, local produce etc. Free activities for kids. Also St John's church flower festival. Fell race registration from 12.30pm. Donation requested for car park.

Touching the Void
internationally renowned mountaineer Simon Yates is appearing at Queen Elizabeth School on Thursday 21st March at 7pm.
Simon is known from the film adaptation of his exploits “Touching the Void”.
He will be giving a talk on his latest adventures.
Tickets are available from myself priced at £7 Adults and £4 for concessions.
Talk on the Thirlmere Aquaduct and Local History Display
John Butcher will give a talk on the Manchester Corporation Water Supply Pipeline which passes through Hutton Roof on its way from Thirlmere to Manchester.
Speaker has confirmed and more material has been offered for display so should be an interesting evening even for those who came to the last one. 7.30pm on the 4th March

Blackheart Folk Duo At Hutton Roof Village Hall
Folk Night - Live Music, cottage pie supper and bar. Live entertainment provided by Blackheart folk duo : an all-acoustic modern folk duo, who have toured extensively in the UK.
According to the BBC, Blackheart are “Taking the acoustic scene by storm.” Radio 2’s Aled Jones pronounced them “A great band.” Good Morning TV described their music as “Beautiful”.
Live in Hutton Roof! £12 per ticket includes supper. Starts 7.00pm prompt, doors open 6.30.

Exotic Film Night
Fraser Hall (Cowan Bridge Village Hall) will be showing 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel on Friday 1st February @ 7 for 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the the village stores or on the door: £5 each. Refreshments will be available, there is plenty of parking and a good time will be had by all.
An Evening with The Acoustic Strawbs
We have been lucky enough to book "The Strawbs" for a concert at St. Mary's Church Ingleton on 20th April 2013 to help us raise money for a new church roof.

Independent Living Centre Launch
One Voice Disability Services will be opening the doors to its newly developed Independent Living Centre on Friday.
The opening ceremony will begin at 11.00am with Eric Ollerenshaw MP for Lancaster and Fleetwood, followed by information stalls and a chance to speak to the One Voice team and partner organisations.
A buffet lunch will be served at 12.00pm
It takes place on Friday 7th December 2012, 11.00am at St Leonard's House, St Leonard's Gate, Lancaster LA1 1NN

The Helm - Christmas Craft Fair
The Helm provides a mental health drop in service offering advocacy, outreach and support for people with a large range of needs varying from mild to moderate through to severe and enduring mental health issues.
The craft fair will feature artwork and handicrafts made by people who access The Helm and in addition to this there will be hot homemade food and drinks for sale in the cafe, a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, a children’s craft area where there will be badge making, face painting, lucky dip and a puppet theatre, a bric-a-brac room and stalls for other local services.
Entry to the craft fair is free and everyone is welcome!
It takes place on Saturday 8th December 2012, 11.00am-3.00pm

Guest Girls Coach in the Lakes
During the month of December many of the Girls Football Teams in Westmorland will receive a special guest coaching session from England U19s Goalkeeper - Tatiana Saunders.
Tatiana is currently in Westmorland on Christmas vacation visiting family and has taken time out of her holiday to visit some of the clubs and schools in the South Lakes and give first hand advice and coaching tips.
There are a range of Girls & Women’s Football Teams across the South Lakes for female players aged 7-16 and 16+.
