SLDC’s Planning Committee have voted to grant planning permission for the first development on Berners Car Park in Grange.
Members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the application to build a two-storey medical centre on the site offering 17 consultation rooms and a retail pharmacy.
The medical centre, will form the first phase of the major redevelopment project.
Phase two will see the development of the rest of the site into a new leisure facility with swimming pool, housing, extra care housing, car park and a new rail crossing.
